A live session with Joe Lieberman

January 6, 2022

Classmates and friends:

The Class of 1965 has invited Joe Lieberman ’64 to speak via Zoom on Wednesday, January 19 at 4:00pm EST, and has invited the Class of 1964 to join the audience. Joe’s topic will be “No Labels: The Centrist Solution.” The title refers both to the No Labels organization, of which he is one of two co-chairs, and to the title of his new book, The Centrist Solution, published last October.

Registration for the Zoom event is required. All spouses are invited and welcome to attend with or without classmates. Register for the meeting by clicking on the following link, and please append ’64 after your last name.

About the Speaker
Senator Joe Lieberman represented Connecticut from 1986 to 2010 as a Democrat and then as an Independent for the last two years. Upon retirement from the Senate he was instrumental in founding No Labels, a national citizen’s group committed to promoting bipartisanship in Congress, and he now serves as its co-chair. His recent book, The Centrist Solution:  How We Made Our Government Work, and How We can Make it Work Again, documents how a centrist governing philosophy has been essential to our democracy for over 200 years, and argues that it is just as critical today. At Yale, Joe was a Scholar of the House and Editor in Chief & President of The Yale Daily News.

About the Event
Joe will provide us with an insider’s view of No Labels, discussing its mission, its programs and current activities, its recent legislative successes, and its goals and plans for 2022 and beyond. Joe is eager to hear our views and to engage with us on these topics.

Any Questions for Joe?
If you have questions for Joe, email them beforehand to Dennis Mack ’65. Following Joe's remarks, there will be a Q&A session moderated by two members of the Class of 1965 who will pose questions for Joe from the live Zoom Chat and from any questions received prior to the event.

Please mark your calendars, and don't forget to register!

Cheers,

Tony Lavely
