Bob Buchanan ’64 named a scholarship in honor of the Class of ’64

January 11, 2024

Bob Buchanan '64 named a scholarship in honor of the Class of 1964's 60th Reunion after the class exceeded an Alumni Fund participation goal for the end of the calendar year.

At the beginning of December, Bob agreed to name a scholarship in honor of the class's 60th reunion on the condition that 60 classmates give to the Alumni Fund over the course of the month. Ultimately, 110 classmates contributed more than $115,000 as part of the initiative, providing current-use support for core needs at Yale College, such as student-life programming and financial aid.

The scholarship, established through the Alumni Fund's Nathan Hale Associates scholarship program, will provide tuition support for a new first-year student over each of the next five years.
