Tony Lavely ’64 extols the benefits of connecting with Yale students

Yale offers a number of ways to connect with Yale students and mentor them. Among these ways are: Yale Cross Campus, Careers, Life, and Yale, and 1stGenYale.

In recent years, Tony Lavely has connected with Anna Marra ’19 PhD, Saee Pansare ’20 SOM, Charlie Tang ’22, and Thomas Toney ’23.

Lavely commented, “While the primary objective of these connections is to mentor the Yale student or recent graduate, I find myself immeasurably enriched by getting to know them. They are incredibly talented and open my eyes to the Yalie of today.”

Yale Cross Campus is the newest platform for connecting. Think of it as LinkedIn just for Yalies. These days, all the connecting is done via Zoom.
