Next event: Chas Freeman ’64 will speak on “The World in Turmoil — What’s Next?”

On June 18, 2026, our classmate Chas Freeman ’64 will speak on escalating diplomatic and military disruptions around the world. Ward Wickwire ’64 will moderate the session.

Chas is a highly-regarded diplomat and statesman who has been instrumental in helping to craft foreign policy for the United States over much of the past 55 years. Among other assignments, he was principal interpreter during Nixon’s ground-breaking trip to China, ambassador to Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs.

Tony Reno, honorary member of the Class of 1964, has resigned as head coach of varsity football. Coach Reno Coach Reno is battling CJD, a fatal neuro- degenerative disease that typically leads to death in under 14 months.
