Update on Class Events Next event: Chas Freeman ’64 will speak on “The World in Turmoil — What’s Next?” On June 18, 2026, our classmate Chas Freeman ’64 will speak on escalating diplomatic and military disruptions around the world. Ward Wickwire ’64 will moderate the session.
Chas is a highly-regarded diplomat and statesman who has been instrumental in helping to craft foreign policy for the United States over much of the past 55 years. Among other assignments, he was principal interpreter during Nixon’s ground-breaking trip to China, ambassador to Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs. |

Coach Reno Coach Reno is battling CJD, a fatal neuro- degenerative disease that typically leads to death in under 14 months. Ralph DeFronzo was featured in a Class Zoom event on March 19, speaking about his specialties in diabetes and obesity. ... Chas Freeman will be featured in a Class Zoom event on June 18, speaking about the complexities of today's foreign affairs ...
