Gloster “Bev” Aaron died on June 17, 2025. He matriculated with our class in 1960 but did not graduate from Yale. We were notified of his death by his grandson Will Allocco, who sent us the following remembrance.

Grandad went by Bev, a nickname from his middle name Beveridge. He grew up in Princeton NJ and attended the Princeton Day School. Before heading to Yale, Grandad spent a year at Ecole Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande, a boarding school in Lausanne, Switzerland; then followed by a year of adventure aboard an oil tanker in South America. His father, Gloster B. Aaron Sr., also attended Yale, Class of 1934, as well as his maternal grandfather Herman LeRoy Emmet, Class of 1912. One of Grandad's classmates was also his first cousin Temple E. Williams, Class of 1965.

Grandad had a life filled with many passions and adventure. He cut his time at Yale short to join the Army for a few years where he worked with nuclear weapons. He worked at the ABC-TV affiliate station in Philadelphia (Channel 6) for 40 years, where for thirty of those years he produced and directed the TV show called "Primetime," working with hosts Jim O’Brien and Gary Papa.

Grandad had many hobbies, many of which took him outdoors.  He enjoyed hiking, fishing, kayaking, and scuba diving. He also loved capturing the outdoors as an amateur photographer.

Grandad introduced his family to his aunt’s cabin, Toad Hall, in the Adirondacks, which served as a summer retreat for the family for many years. We still visit the Adirondacks every year because of this. I look forward to these trips more than anything.

Grandad is remembered by a large family, including his grandchildren who enjoyed all the time we had with him.
